Amina Salihu is Senior Program Officer with the MacArthur Foundation Africa Office, farmer, and feminist. Amina was a lecturer in the Political Science Department of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (2004-2007), and Coordinator, DFID/UKAid’s Coalitions for Change (C4C) Programme (2007-2011).  Amina is a technical adviser to numerous governments, development partners, private sector and civil society organizations on the African continent and globally. Amina has travelled and written widely, moderated, facilitated, and participated in panels and conversations on women’s and girls’ rights, accountability and the environment nationally and internationally, including at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. A keen volunteer and mentor, Amina serves as pioneer Dean of Faculty of the unconventional School of Politics Policy and Governance www.thesppg.org.
